Hey Alison,

It's nice to see your name again. I subscribed to one or more of your workshops when you were in Fayetteville 10 or more years ago and lost track of you when you ran away to Italy.

I'm glad that you appreciated my piece(s) about travel in the maritimes. There are more that I've not written and some older ones to move from my TypePad blog that no-one reads to my Substack.

Best wishes and thanks again,

Tom T

So what is a boon docking parking lot? How does that relate to “ out in the boondocks “?

Boondocking is the camping term for being completely off the grid. No hookups (water, sewer, power).

Hi Tom, Thank you so much for posting about this trip. This is something I dream of doing in my little camper van.

Yep. That is the one. We entered Canada at Thunder Bay and camped across the northern route. One of the highlights of that trip for me was shopping in the Hudson Bay Company outpost store at Kapuskasing, which was the jumping of point to take the Polar Bear Express to James Bay, I think.
