Both times that I visited Rancho El Chimayo I had the green chilis and pork stew. And the sopaipilla is amazing. It is located at the edge of the village on well kept grounds in a sprawling old ranch house with gift shops, and the service is on white linen. I will always go back.
A fine description of what made your Alamo Springs burger the best. I’m looking forward to finding your best ‘chicken fried steak’ since it is my impression that almost no one cooks them anymore. I don’t know of a single place that does. Maybe in Texas.

I am sure that is where we went! And I definitely want to go back as I did not appreciate it as much as I should have in the moment.
