Completion of El Camino de Santiago -October 2014
Tanne took flight December 26, 2023 at 10:47 AM. Said she was going to hike the AT. She was surrounded by her family and her close Camino companions. We took her body home with us and cherished her memory for 2 nights. We laid her down in the Lowcountry, amongst our ancestors, on Thursday December 28th before Sundown, with flute and fiddle at the grave side. Her son-in-law built her coffin. Her son, with help from his cousins and friends, dug her grave.
She was given a name with character, and she was up to the task. She was brave, smart, generous, and unforgettable.
