It was the first Wednesday in April this year and we walked barefoot on the beach at Fort Pickens and watched the Blue Angels practice. Stoked on adrenaline and Vitamin D. we found lunch back in Oldtown Pensacola at Carmen’s Lunch Bar. Check the web site and read Mari Carmen Joseph’s remarkable “creation" story and delicious menu.
I had the Spanish Lump Crab Cazuela, which is MariCarmen’s gluten free version of the Spanish Lump Crab Melt (chorizo, manchego, lemon saffron, arugula). It was the best crab offering I ever tasted.
